Anne Boleyn Makes the Cut // MUSIC VIDEO

For like 30 seconds while browsing a shady internet genealogy website I thought I was related to Anne Boleyn.

In that interim I looked her up more closely. And in those brief moments when I thought we shared a bloodline I got a glimpse of her: A powerful women, misunderstood and constantly fighting to withstand the sharks around her.

I think that describes most women’s expedience on Twitter!

With women’s rights disappearing before our eyes I was moved to write a musical comedy piece that shared her story. I feel like a bard giving fair warning: the forces at hand won’t help us if it’s not in their self interest.

(The song is part of Misfits: The Comedy Album which you can find on all streaming platforms or buy right here on this website.)

The music video came together seamlessly. Directed by Jeff Quintana, filmed by Reese Hendrik, track engineered by Karen Barseghyan, and video edited by Oled Boyarskiy. Filmed at the Coop in Delray, one of the secrets of Florida comedy that I transverse when I’m in that part of that world.

Here are some stills from the final product. And the video, of course.
