After watching Tickling Giants, the story about how Bassem Youssef started a Daily Show in Egypt and ended up being a government target, I tagged him on an Instagram post. To my surprise, he responded and a few short messages later we spoke on the phone about touring, as he was one of the first comedians to go back out on the road. Weeks later I caught his show in Miami and asked if he would join for a conversation about satire. He said yes; I did a backflip.
