Comedy in Alt Media Spaces // Reconcile the Aisle

I love the internet. A lot of times I hate it, but most of the time I must acknowledge that without it, voices like mine would not have an outlet. The misfits, the outsiders, the weirdos, we used to have to vanilla ourselves in when dealing with the mainstream. Now we can create our own worlds without asking for permission from gatekeepers.

Two of my recent interviewees on my podcast Reconcile the Aisle on Radio Misfits Podcast Network are living this ethic. They both make their art happen in unique ways, so have careers that would be unimaginable a few decades ago.

Rosa Escandon and I speak about creating coming out of the pandemic, her podcast giving psychic life advice, hoarding and how she took that as the subject in an upcoming novel. Then my character Melania asks how she can get on Rosa’s show and we end up talking Tiffany Trump gossip

Chris Demariais and I chat about iterating constantly to create internet content, using failure as a creative tool, how his podcasts Black Box Down, Good Morning in Hell, and Tales From the Stinky Dragon came to be. Then my character Deborah Decanter comes on to ask about his taxes and gets too excited.
