Queer Takeover of Texas (in Manhttan) * Lambda Benefit

As you know for the past six months I've been incubating shows at the event space at Lunella Restaurant down in Little Italy. The first show I did was Gay Takeover of Little Italy. It was fun and got a crowd. Bringing LGBTQ+ comedy to spaces not traditionally welcoming seemed to have struck a chord. After the show fellow comic/producer Dana Friedman told me: let's call it Queer Takeover and use it to raise funds for LGBTQ+ causes.

And just like that - and because if you've been on this list you know that I could never be accused of NOT taking action - we had a venue, a date, a cause, and a nonprofit on board.

Here’s to jumping on an idea when you feel like it’s catching!
