Understanding Critical People When You're a Weirdo

Iā€™m finding a pattern: The unfunniest person in the room is the most critical.
šŸ’„
When dealing with low energy people you have to be on guard because they will try to siphon your energy and dampen your verve.
šŸ’„
Outside the box people feel the energy shift when dealing with low energy folks: they want to dampen our verve and siphon our spirit. Our being threatens the stability of those who live within their own self created boundaries that arenā€™t in line with who they are.
šŸ’„
They lash out when you show them how theyā€™ve constructed a set of constraints that inhibits their own creativity and happiness. Theyā€™re letting their egos and insecurity get in the way of experiencing the edges of their life and art. They want to snap at you, hoping that youā€™ll stop showing them their shortfall.
šŸ’„
But you must protect yourself against it ā€” ignore and persist as you can. Make art about it and/or vent by calling a fellow weirdo ā€” my virtual door is open to you!

Remember, pumpkins, derivative is safer than innovative, but also not as interesting, and if Iā€™m in a bad mood, Iā€™d call it boring.
