We Want to Hear Your Story // Reconcile the Aisle Podcast

“I have choices. I’m responsible for my happiness.”

— Mary Goggin

I get a lot of messages from people that go like this:

“I had this really crazy thing happen to me. The details are insane and the journey was epic. And I think you should write it.”

My response is always:

“I think you should write it.”

Because there is no one better at telling your story than you.

Which is why I wanted to share this episode of my podcast Reconcile the Aisle on Radio Misfits Podcast Network.

I interviewed Mary Goggin, the creator of the solo show Runaway Princess and we spoke how crafting her story was a catharsis and an accomplishment.

In this episode we speak about:

  • Mary’s journey through drinking and hooking to become a working actor in NYC.

  • How Mary found her calling, the desire to share her story in the internationally touring show Runaway Princess.

  • How you have to transition from being the writer to the actor when rehearsing a solo show, especially when the subject matter is emotionally charged.

  • Then Queens Marie and Melania Trump join to ask questions about sex work.
